Accessibility statement

Veritain is run by Abacie Gamma Limited. We want everyone to be able to check who they are dealing with, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

What this covers

Everything at veritain.co.uk, and the report you receive — on screen, as a PDF, and in the emails we send. We treat the report as part of the product, not as an attachment that falls outside the standard: it is the thing you actually bought.

How we have tested it

• Automated scanning of every public page against WCAG 2.2 AA, run from the production build and re-run monthly. The current configuration and results live in the repository at docs/compliance/audits/.
• Keyboard-only operation of the main journeys: browsing, searching for a company, choosing a report, checking out, and reading a delivered report.
• Colour-contrast checks on every text and interface element, including hover, focus and disabled states, calculated rather than eyeballed.
• Reading the site in greyscale, to confirm no finding depends on colour.
• Reflow at 320px width and at 200% text zoom.

Things we know are not perfect

We would rather tell you than have you find out. These are the gaps we are aware of on the review date above.

Specific things we have built in

• No finding depends on colour. Every outcome carries a word and a distinct shape as well as a colour, so it reads the same in greyscale, to a colour-blind reader, and to a screen reader. This matters more here than on most sites, because the product is an outcome.
• A visible focus indicator on everything you can interact with, so you can always see where you are when using a keyboard.
• Errors are explained in text, listed at the top of the form, and linked to the field they belong to.
• Nothing moves unless you ask it to, and animation is switched off entirely if your device is set to reduce motion.

If something doesn't work for you

Tell us and we will fix it, or find another way to get you what you need in the meantime. Email support@veritain.co.uk, or use the contact routes. We aim to reply within one working day.

If you need a report in a different format — larger text, plain text, or a different document type — ask and we will produce it at no extra cost.

If you are not happy with how we respond, the Equality and Human Rights Commission is responsible for enforcing the Equality Act 2010. You can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service.
