Check your freeholder, landlord, managing agent or builder.
Before you sign a lease, pay a deposit, or hire a builder — a sourced, plain-English check on the company on the other side. £19. No report, no fee.
Type the company name or number and confirm it's the right one. How to find your freeholder's company →
We read the public registers — Companies House, The Gazette and the UK Sanctions List — to show you whether your freeholder's company is solvent, active, and who stands behind it. You get a clear outcome (“no adverse findings” or “findings to review”), each finding sourced and dated, for your own review.
- Is the company active, or dissolved / in an insolvency process?
- Any winding-up petitions, insolvency notices or outstanding charges?
- A director's track record and any disqualifications — as sourced public facts.
- Any match on the UK Sanctions List.
£19, one-off. No report, no fee — we place a temporary hold and only charge you when your report is ready. If we can't produce it, the hold is released and you pay nothing. This is sourced public-record information for your own decision — not a credit score, not legal or financial advice, and not a verdict on any person.
What a Reverse Check won't tell you
It checks a company on the public record. It won't tell you whether a builder does good work, whether a landlord is pleasant to deal with, or anything at all about a person who isn't a company officer — we don't trace individuals, look up private addresses, or run credit checks on people. If the person you're dealing with is a sole trader with no limited company, there is nothing on the register for us to read, and we'll tell you that rather than charge you.
What it does tell you is whether the company is real, active and solvent, what the registers record against it, and what its directors' other companies did — each as a sourced, dated fact for your own judgement.
