Accuracy
Flag an error, or ask a person to review
Our reports set out what official registers recorded on the dates shown. Registers can be wrong, out of date, or attached to the wrong company or person — and if that has happened, we want to know and put it right.
What happens when you flag something. The report goes into our review queue. A named reviewer checks the finding against the source record. If it is wrong or wrongly attributed, we correct it, re-issue the report free of charge, and record the decision. We respond within one month, and usually much sooner.
Named in a report but didn't buy it? This form is for the person who bought the report. If a report names you, use the data-subject route instead — no reference needed, no account, and it carries the full set of rights you have over that information.
What we can and can't change
We can correct what we got wrongA finding attached to the wrong company or person, a mis-read date, a record we should not have included, or wording that goes beyond what the source says.
We can't change the public register itselfIf Companies House or The Gazette holds something you believe is wrong, that has to be corrected at source — we can annotate our report to record that you dispute it.
If you are named in a report rather than the person who bought it, the data-subject route is the right one — it does not need a report reference, and it carries the full set of rights you have over that information.
